Number 10—Better Together

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

As I write about each of the ten things I know when stepping into a dream, this thought anchors and rings true, ‘The dream, your dream, is not for you alone’.  I know that’s a direct statement, but if it’s a real dream, it’s self-less and in service to others.

Because the dream is always bigger than you and your current state of being, it will require more than you have to give and will reach further than you can currently see.

Dreams make room for people. They actually give place to others and the dream they hold within themselves. That’s why, when you dare to dream, you don’t dare go it alone.  We are better together.

Have you ever noticed how sticky water is?  Beads of water on a surface will actually pull themselves towards each other and become one, bigger bead of water.  Multiple beads will pool together.  When pooled together, that unity and oneness works together to refresh and bring life, as well as weather the hot trials of life. The single drop left alone, will evaporate.

Like the beads of water, your dream will draw and pull others to you.

There are people with great skill, gifts, and wisdom.  Their desire is to help others and to be a part of something noble or something big.  They carry a dream as well, that will allow them and the strength they carry to be released for and with purpose.  Left to themselves, they dry up amid the challenges of life.

Our individual design is as unique as the individual pieces of a puzzle.  Shapes and colors are our code.  We have boundaries that define who we are.  We are unique and testify of a greater cause and creative reflection.  Yet, it’s only when we are united with others, like puzzle pieces paired, grouped and placed within the edges of the puzzle that the big picture is revealed.  We are better, together.

Dreams need teams.  Dreams bring focus for the release of the greatness that people carry.  Dreams serve or meet the needs of others.  And because we are created for relationship, we are better together.

With that in mind, as you travel your journey and chart your coarse, keep your passenger seat available for those who will travel with you along that path.  Be keen in your awareness of others, knowing that the activation of your dream will cause people to cross your path and confirm, direct, or connect you to what your dream requires as you continue your journey.

Be open and willing to assist others with what you carry.  Serve others with the greatness you carry within you.  Knowing that relationships are the bridges of commerce, there is great strength, knowledge, wisdom and resource to be exchanged that will meet the needs and define the hope that others carry.
